MG Corporation (MG) and Gelganyem Trust (GT) are separate organisations representing the traditional ownership groups of Miriuwung and Gajerrong and Miriuwung and Gidja people respectively, within the East Kimberley region of Western Australia.
In 2009, MG and GT jointly applied for funding from the Federal Government for a new shared corporate building to be located in Kununurra.
Funding was secured to enable both organisations to provide improved services and cost savings, a meeting place for the communities they represent and a better working environment for employees.
The building process is planned over a number of stages. The final design architectural drawings and tender documents have been completed as well as the appropriate land titles for the site. The new building is expected to be completed and occupied by April 2012.
